Annual Profile 2012 - Introduction by the COO
The full annual profile can be seen as e-magazine here
Focus on development
Welcome to the new and alternative edition of Pressalit’s annual profile. This year we have decided not to use the traditional format but instead present our annual profile in a digital format so that we can utilise our options for communicating on different media platforms. We are very pleased with the result – presenting the annual profile as an e-magazine allows us to communicate in a different and more dynamic way by using videos to present you with information and still provide you with the classic reading experience of a physical magazine. We believe the new format gives you the best of both worlds.
Important events take centre stage
We have attempted to condense a whole year’s events at Pressalit into the e-magazine and focus on the events that are forward looking and indicate developments both internally and externally in the company. 2012 was a very special year with many important events and the Paralympic Games in London was a highlight. As the main sponsor of the Danish Sports Organisation for the Disabled (DHIF), we followed the participating Danish athletes closely and I am very pleased to be able to share this special experience with you in this magazine. We have just completed the renegotiation of our main sponsor agreement with DHIF and consequently will be able to follow the disabled athletes on their way to the Paralympic Games in Rio in 2016.
At the core of the business
The crisis has not yet receded in the markets and this means that our ambition for growth is under a lot of pressure. With this in mind, the prioritisation of our efforts and resources has been an important issue for Pressalit in 2012 and continues to be so in 2013. The prioritisation of strategically important development projects, such as the new Pressalit Care PLUS system, means we have made a record investment in Pressalit’s future – and we are pleased that the system has been well received on the market. This project, along with Pressalit Seats’ launch of the new Colour Blend collection developed in close collaboration with Dutch designers Scholten & Baijings, will help to secure Pressalit’s future and create even more visibility, not only in existing markets but in new ones too.
I don’t just want to focus on 2012 in this magazine. I also want to look at the future. I hope the videos will give you an idea of what I think are the important issues for the company in 2013. In this respect, Pressalit’s participation at the sector’s trade fair ISH in Frankfurt was the beginning of our efforts to achieve the desired results in 2013. The fair gave us the opportunity to share our public image with both our partners and our competitors. At the same time our participation emphasises our continued effort to work hard to create visibility in the market for the Pressalit brand through prioritised marketing efforts. I hope the short videos will give you more detailed insight into how Pressalit is focusing on development in several areas, even in these very challenging times and despite the general market trends. I hope you will enjoy the new magazine – happy reading
